  • Led the Mission Operations Team for 5 months, growing the team from 3 people to 6.

  • Mission Director and Test Director for Sceye’s single large-scale flight of 2025.

  • Sub-Scale Lead: Successfully introduced a sub-scale vehicle program and accomplished 21 flights using a single sub-scale vehicle system, saving the company $10M+ and ~9 months of R&D efforts.

Ground and Flight Test Engineer — Sep 2023 - Apr 2025

  • Mission Director: Directed Sceye's most successful missions to date, accomplishing the company's milestones for the Controlled Dynamics program in 2024.

  • Test Director: Successfully lead the Operations ground and flight test campaign for all Sceye flights in 2024 and 2025.

  • High school and middle school STEM teacher and tutor at Fusion Academy in Oak Brook, IL.

NASA JPL (PASADENA, CA / HYBRID)

Affiliate (3471) — 2017 - 2021

  • Team Lead and Flight Test Director for the Innovation to Flight (i2F) Zephyrus high altitude balloon (HAB) program and Talos balloon autolauncher. 

  • Designed, built, and flew 10+ HABs and sUAS for various payloads including extreme environment testing of Ingenuity’s Flight Computer, flexible PV cell efficiency tests, Mars upper atmospheric wind pattern simulators, CubeSat flight computer verification tests, and more.

  • Was in charge of hiring summer interns for i2F for 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 (~8-16 interns a year). 

  • Confidential / Secret clearances held.

Caltech SURF Intern (347E) — May 2017 - Aug 2017

  • Team Lead and founding member of the i2F program. Created the Flight Test campaign for i2F, launching the first 4 HABs of i2F.


FERMILAB (BATAVIA, IL / HYBRID)

Visiting Researcher (T-987) — 2019 - 2020

  • Worked on mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering work with the SENSEI team attempting to detect strongly interacting low-mass dark matter via the SkipperCCD above the atmosphere using high altitude balloons.

  • Worked on systems and thermal engineering work as well as orbit simulations for the DarkNESS CubeSat mission to survey the 3.5 keV line from the Galactic Center.


BLOCKELEY UNIVERSITY (REMOTE)

Co-Founder, Project Manager, Designer — 2020

  • Co-Founder, a Project Manager, and one of the many designers that have created the University of California, Berkeley's entire campus in 1:1 scale a the Class of 2020 virtual graduation ceremony.

  • Lead the data collection, analysis, and execution to use JPL's Shuttle Topography Radar Mission (STRM) to recreate the topographic map of Berkeley 1:1 in Minecraft as well as helping lead the various other project managers, builders, marketing team, graphics team, etc. for the world's first virtual graduation in a video game and one of the largest Minecraft events in history.

Undergraduate Student Instructor (UGSI) — Aug 2020 - Dec 2020

  • TA for Astro 120 (Optical and Infrared Lab) at UC Berkeley. 

  • Taught lessons each week, held office hours, and conducted lab experiments using remotely operated telescopes. 

  • Class focused on Python, optical and IR instrumentation, and observing techniques.

Thermal Engineering / Test and Evaluation Intern — May 2015 - Jul 2015

  • Thermal Engineering and Test and Evaluation intern tasked with analyzing competition’s travel mugs. 

  • Designed, tested, and analyzed prototype feature that extended the heat retention of Contigo travel mugs by two hours.


June Sky Aerospace Club (Winnetka, IL)

Co-founder — Jun 2012 - Aug 2016

  • June Sky is a club founded to make aerospace engineering and science more accessible to the public, and specifically kids, through weather balloon and hobby rocket flights.
